Our Spirituality

Spirituality of Fr.Wolff- the Founder:
“I want to labour as a giant, always ready for souls”
His whole life was concerned with the greater honour and Glory of God. Undoubtedly he lived the spirit of St.Ignatius.
Salient Features of fr.Wolff’s Spirituality:

  • A fervent zeal for all that concerns greater honour and Glory of God ( Ad majorem Deum Gloria):- In the hurried life of Fr.Wolff’s apostolic activity, we read the following prayer in his diary, “ Only to God be Glory, I surrender myself completely to God like John the Baptist, strengthen my will that I may serve you and fulfill my task evermore faithfully and to your greater glory”
  • Seeking God’s will :- Fr.Wolff himself described his interior surrender, “The soul attaches itself to God to such a degree that it finds pleasure in nothing else but what God requires”
  • Finding God in all things and taste for the divine:-  “He who wishes to serve God in everything, to him everything is prayer”.

Spirituality of JMJ:
Interior Spirit:  “A true member of the Society is interiorly possessed by God  and this state of being filled by God’s will influences all our external works and inspires us to seek in everything only the greater Glory of God”
